History

Child Education Development was found in November 2013 by Nilanthi and  Didul Gamage, after living and working in United Kingdom for several years. The organization was established initially as a support network to assist  few local students and families. However after the closed down of charitable organization they served  for over a decade, on December 2013,the organization’s mandate came into force. Nilanthi and Didul were committed to seeking solutions and began a massive fundraising initiative seeking support from neighboring regions and foreign countries. Donations began coming in and eventually they were able to hire a small staff of  locals to help manage the ongoing needs that kept flooding in.

Many other enthusiastic people also started actively helping Child Education Development Sri Lanka. Needed skills and energetic support came together and grew to help impoverished people get a hand up, and help them to develop their communities and villages.Child Education Development Sri Lanka  is now a formally recognized nonprofit organization, which provides assistance and opportunities to people in need through nutrition, education, health, construction, and other valuable services.
